Role Overview

The R&D Scientist – API will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and validating non-infringing and cost-effective synthetic processes for APIs and their intermediates. The role involves extensive laboratory work, process documentation, and hands-on support during scale-up and technology transfer to manufacturing sites. This is a lab-intensive, execution-focused role for someone who thrives in practical chemistry and process development environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop the patent Non infringing RoS and Cost effective process of APIs and their Intermediates in Lab.

  • To optimize and validate the process in Lab,

  • To make the Process Package and Development Report and release to Plant.

  • To scale up the process at Kilo/Pilot scale and finally commercialize it at Plant.

Key Deliverables:

  • Completion of Process development, optimization and validation in Lab as per stipulated Timeline.

  • Process Robustness and validation

  • Release of Process Package and Development Reports to Plant. 

  • Successful scale-up & tech transfer at Plant.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry.

  • Experience: 2-3 Year Experience in process development of APIs and scale up at Plant.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Organic Synthesis, Process Chemistry and Analytical data interpretation.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication for technical presentations.
